Progress Report
Greetings and best wishes from the rainy Ethiopia
We are experiencing extraordinary high rainfall. We are stacked. We could not move forward. We could not transport the sand, gravel and hollow blocks to Anno. The lorries can never pass through. We have managed to buy only one lorry of gravel and then they stopped.
The community is transporting the stones by donkey cart.
I have changed 1,000 euros for 18,000 Birr and deposited with Dawit with the other 5000 Birr (23,000 in total) to pay in case they could mange to transport the construction materials. People are hoping that it may dry up in May but nothing so far. In case this rains continue to June and July it would be difficult to think of the October/November construction. What do you think?
